Mauka is a Hawaii sunglasses brand that is inspired by Hawaii’s rich outdoor lifestyle. Born in the middle of the pacific ocean we are passionate about making the best sunglasses so you can explore the world around you with enhanced clarity, sharper details, and zero glare to clearly see why life is better lived outside.
The Mauka name meaning “Inland or Towards the Mountains” (Pronounced: Mow-Ka) was chosen to represent the Hawaiian Islands. Our Polynesian triangle logo symbolizes the balance of nature and the ocean with arrows that remind us to move forward with strength, confidence, and courage.

Malama GiveBack Program
Mauka gives a portion of its proceeds to different non profit Hawaiʻi-based conservation organizations who are stewards of the land and sea. We donate as a way of giving back to the community.
Meet the Founder
Mauka sunglasses was founded from the entrepreneurial spirit of native Hawaiian Keoua Whitlock. His inspiration for the company comes from growing up on the Island of Oahu.
